HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — The 2026 Lexus US Open of Surfing came to a dramatic close under the mid-afternoon sun Sunday, with Jake Marshall and Sierra Kerr securing their first US Open titles in a pair of hard-fought finals. John Muir High School Athletics has named Mya Galvan the new head coach of its varsity girls volleyball program. Galvan brings playing experience from Los Osos High School and Cal State San Marcos, where she competed as a setter and defensive specialist. A two-year team captain at Los Osos, she led the team in assists during her junior and senior seasons before playing four years for the Cougars.
