For any high school athlete, participating in a photoshoot can be both exciting and nerve-wracking. Especially if it's their first one.
Today, some of my student athletes had the opportunity to participate in a softball portrait photoshoot with their teammates. We had such a great time!
As their photographer, it wasn't challenging at all to make them feel comfortable in front of the camera since I'm their phototography teacher. This includes their teammates that do not have me as their teacher. They still know me from watching and shooting their games.
They were laughing and joking around, which helped to capture some great candid shots. We also had the chance to take some more posed photos, highlighting their love for the game and thier team spirit.
I only had seniors participate in the photoshoot. Underclassmen were not allowed which made this group feel special—and they are! Overall, this photoshoot was a blast. It was great to spend time with my students and their teammates outside of school time and create some lasting memories.

Shoutout to my wonderful student-assistant, Esmeralda G for taking some of the behind-the-scenes photos and video clips.
GO MUSTANGS!
