I can't believe it's already been 7 years since my first time covering the US Open in Huntington Beach! Every year, this event just gets better and better. As a writer and a huge fan of surfing, it's an absolute thrill to be able to cover this epic event and all of the amazing surfers who come from all over the world to compete.
There's just something about the energy and excitement of the US Open that you can't find anywhere else. I love being able to photograph these talented athletes. They definetly have a passion for the sport and it shows in my images— truly awe-inspiring.
But it's not just about the competition – it's also about the surfing culture and community that comes together in Huntington Beach for this event. Everywhere you look, there are surfers hanging out, sharing stories, and soaking up the sun. And the fans are just as passionate – cheering on their favorite surfers and soaking up the atmosphere.
It's truly a unique and special experience, and I feel so lucky to be able to cover it year after year. I can't wait to see what surprises and amazing moments this year's US Open has in store. Here's to another epic year of surfing in Huntington Beach!
